Did you catch it? The best part was not when Huckabee admitted
how strong Obama was, but when he admitted that race was not the
ultimate issue. Oh, and also, the tribute to Tubbs was pretty rad.
Sorry I was MIA, been so busy and the site was down...but my BFF
and webrynth master Matt Lum hooked me up!!! KatyOliver.com is back!
KO is looking for a new place...if you know of anything (affordable)
dog-permitting, please let me know! Need to be out by the end of July!!!
Email me: katy@katyoliver.com
Thanks!
RobZ found a police badge (and wallet and checkbook!) today in a shopping
cart in the Xpect parking lot! KO quickly found digits (on the checks, obvs) and
called the Capricorn, leaving a message on his vmail. When he called back we were
shocked to hear him admit he hadn't realized it (all) was missing (!) and didn't know
where his head was today! Luckily his head is attached to his body! Couldn't not go
there, sorry. KO confessed he'd certainly find fingerprints on everything, as we'd gone
through all of it! Anyway he came by to pick everything up tonight but not before KO
paid tribute to Phoebe (from Friends) with a "YOU could get arrested RIGHT NOW!" pic.
Fantastic! Truly!

...for a quick trip...back tomorrow!
Legendary comic George Carlin died of heart failure yesterday in Santa Monica.
George had a history of heart problems. He checked into the hospital yesterday
after complaining about chest pains.
Shit! Piss! Fuck! Cunt! Cocksucker! Motherfucker! Tits!
Sad! George Carlin was "especially noted for his political and black humor and
his observations on language, psychology, and religion along with many taboo
subjects. Carlin and his "Seven Dirty Words" comedy routine were central to the
1978 U.S. Supreme Court case F.C.C. v. Pacifica Foundation, in which a narrow 5-4
decision by the justices affirmed the government's right to regulate Carlin's act on
the public airwaves. He placed second on the Comedy Central's list of the 10 greatest
stand-up comedians, ahead of Lenny Bruce and behind Richard Pryor. He was a
frequent performer and guest host on The Tonight Show during the three-decade
Johnny Carson era, and was the first person to host Saturday Night Live."
He is survived by his second wife Sally Wade and his daughter Kelly Carlin.
RIP George!

Tim Russert, host of Meet The Press suffered a fatal heart attack Friday.
He was just 58. Russert was at work at the NBC Studios in Washington, D.C., when
he went into cardiac arrest. "He was an institution in both news and politics for more
than two decades. Tim was a tough and hardworking newsman. He was always well-
informed and thorough in his interviews. And he was as gregarious off the set as he
was prepared on it," President Bush said Friday. In 2008, TIME magazine named him
one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Russert was a father, too. Very sad.![]()
Happy Friday! We'll be working all day deep into the night, so the many various
and sundry topics we've been hoping to post about will be put aside yet again for
now...Rar. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to this day. And this weekend. Hope
your day is fun not freaky. Please play outside! Enjoy yourselves! More later,

Dresses I love: American Apparel dresses (1,2 & 3); unknown tank dress;
the perfect BetseyJohnson dress, in blue; the Givenchy delicacy
worn by C. Ricci last week; & Ashley O's classic 80s Vogue power
black dress, a retro masterpiece, also worn last week in NYC
In the past few weeks KO has been experiencing unusual and intense
fatigue. Then, Sunday we got a stomach cramp that was blindingly painful
for about an hour and consistently brutal since. Ugh and fug. So today KO saw
a nice lady Doctor who, while witness to the abdominal pain~ and worried, to boot,
was unable to tell me what's wrong. KO had to get alot of blood work* at a lab nearby
and now...we are waiting. Lady Doctor** gets the results later today, and KO meets with
her again Thursday. The various and sundry speculation from friends has included, but
is not limited to: mono, lyme disease, thyroid issue, anemia. And no, I'm not pregnant.
Hopefully we will have an answer soon! KO plans to run the marathon on Nov. 2nd, turn
32 (ahem 26) on Nov. 4th and be a helpful and healthful maid of honor to Annie in Key
West on Nov. 8th!!! So things best be ok! KO must be in kickass condition! Rar!!!
That's the story. Will keep you posted.
As ever,
KO

**A.M. noted confusion, so KO will clarify: the description re the Lady doctor
was meant to detail that the doctor is also a lady, ehem. She's not a ladydoctor.
We're sad the Rangers were eliminated, our love was not enough
to save them in OT last night...but we have faith in our favorite player,
Chris Drury's career, and believe next year will be the Rangers year! OoRah!
As you know, KO love love loves hockey!
...you should see my new cell phone! That's right, KO has a new cellio.
It's slick, sure, but better still~ it works! Includes new digits! If you need
my new number, by the way, please email me here or at my gmail address...
